Catapult is a "crowd sourcing" web site where women can seek financial support for projects in their communities. Funds come from individuals and groups who want to support your work.

World Pulse

WorldPulse is an action media network powered by women from 190 countries. Through programs (online communities, magazine and online campaigns), WorldPulse seeks to lift and unite women's's voices to accelerate their impact for the world.

National Geographic Kids

The National Geographic Kids' site has many resources on different kinds of animals and their environments.

Museum of Science and Industry Chicago

The Museum of Science + Industry Chicago has a series of games, apps, videos, and activities that teach science in an interactive, easily accessible way. Topics range from biology to chemistry and physics.

Audience: 8-15 years old

Sheppard Software's Science learning activites contain over 12 games to help students learn about chemistry, the periodic table, deep sea science, and animals. In addition to quizzes and games, students can dive deeper by reading the many illustrated articles!

The Center for Education Technology's Exploring the Environment module is a problem-based learning approach to studying climate change and weather. Students will use data from NASA and various climate science data sets to study different aspects of global warming

Weather Wiz Kids is a website made just for kids so that they can explore the fascinating world of weather. It has explanations of many different weather phenomena, and a large variety of games, jokes, and quizzes about weather!

The UK Power Network's Power Up site gives children 11 and under information about how electricity works, where it comes from, and, most importantly, how to stay safe. There are fun, interactive games where kids can build their own circuits, trace how electricity travels to homes, and take quizzes to test their knowledge.

Purpose Games's Skeletal System Game is a timed activity that challenges students to name all of the bones in the human body!

The BBC Science Bites site has fun, short science activities for students to learn about health, electricity, solids, and liquids. Each unit contains an interactive experiment and a quiz.

The University of Illinois's Food Fun: From Apples to Zucchini site contains resources to help students learn about nutrition. This program is interdisciplinary and is designed to introduce students to produce they may not be familiar with by talking a little bit about fun facts and nutritional information. The website will also help to enhance students' math, reading, writing, and creative arts skills.

Code.org provides tools to help students learn computer coding. A good collection of tools can be found here.

GCF Learn Free hosts a nice colllection of online learning tools in mostly technology and math.

Rails Girls

Rails Girls aim to give tools and a community to women to understand technology and to build their ideas. They offer workshops and tools to download to learn programming in Ruby on Rails.

CS Is Fun

Computer Science (CS) Is Fun offers a large variety of online actitivities that teach programming to students. All activities are grouped by age.

CoderDojo is an international group of coding clubs for youth.

Cyber Smart

CyberSmart Kids gives many resources and tools to help students stay safe on the Internet. It talks about being aware of your digital footprint, and accessing resources to help with cyberbullying.

Engineering

PBS Kids has many engineering games that allow students to solve mysteries with Curious George, build robots, and create their own engineering challenges to solve.

Science Kids has an Engineering for Kids site that contains many different resources for students to learn about the various concepts of engineering. There are fun project ideas, quizzes, experiments, and videos to engage kids.

Math

Kidport has many offers lots of "think-and-learn" math activities for grades K-8. There are also links to information from other subjects, such as English, history, and science.

Founded in 1998, APlusMath has been providing interactive math activities to help students improve their math skills. Aplusmath.com has become one of the top math web sites in the world and contains many useful resources for parents, teachers and students.

Multiplication.com contains many fun games, learning modules, and quizzes to help students learn multiplication skills!

IXL has a list of key math skills that students should learn in different grades. For each concept, they provide practice questions that become harder as you correctly answer them.

ABCya contains a wide variety of activities, lessons, and games for students to learn about many different concepts n math and language arts. The concepts are separated by grade level, and cover grades K-5.
